Fujitsu Australia Software Technology (FAST) Celebrates 20 Years

FAST also has a large documentation and translation group that is provided with various commissions from Fujitsu Limited.

The corporate mission of FAST is to build solutions using advanced software technologies to achieve the leadership in cutting edge information technology for which FAST is renowned today. Consulting services leverage its expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microsoft® .NET technologies, Data Warehousing, Electronic Commerce, and Knowledge Retrieval and Management. FAST has a breadth of core competencies that includes developing solutions using the most common languages (Java™, C#, C++, etc.), developing high performance web-based applications using standard application development environments (Eclipse, Netbeans, Rails and .NET frameworks) and popular software infrastructure including database management systems such as PostgreSQL, Oracle® and SQL Server ®.

FAST is working closely with Fujitsu Limited on Interstage development, internationalization and testing. FAST is also leading the way with new Enterprise Java technologies including the integration of Sun’s Glassfish Application Server with Interstage, and is an active participant in the Glassfish Open Source community.

It is also FAST’s mission to employ a mix of proven and innovative technologies such as open systems and convergence to provide solutions, to enhance Fujitsu’s customers’ productivity, service levels, and profit, whilst minimizing risk.

FAST employs more than 50 very experienced software professionals. A hands-on approach is encouraged, often led by the Senior Developers and Architects, which results in the development of reliable and high performance solutions in the most cost effective manner.
